MySpace Passover Comments -- Kosher For Passover

As I walk down the aisles of the local supermarket, I could notice the words "Kosher For Passover" on certain items. I wonder what it actually means! I know that Jews eat matzoh instead of bread during Passover. I came to know this from Jonathan one of my class mates — a lost touch now. But have you wondered why certain candies, vegetables and soda be kosher for Passover while certain others would not be?

I remember once Jonathan told me that they refrained from eating anything that contained rye, wheat, oats, spelt, barley etc. Some Jews, like Ashkenazi Jews (who are from European origin) also do not eat rice, peanuts, corn and legumes, because these are also used to make breads. The rules are so stringent and they would not eat these items.

I just came to know about these from Jonathan who used to be my friends during my school days. If he is reading this blog, I'm sure he will going to place his comments. Here's my MySpace URL for you Jonathan http://www.myspace.com/michaelringwood. And all you guys who are reading this blog, I would like to find your comments placed in the comment box in MySpace. I'm really looking for reasons as to why some candies, vegetables and soda be kosher for Passover and certain others wouldn't? I miss him a lot and I'm sure many of your are also missing your friends. Here's a couple of beautiful passover greetings for you to reach out to your friends this Passover.
